The flatbed crane project has successfully passed the client's acceptance inspection

On August 25, RAILTECO successfully completed the customer’s on‑site acceptance and review for the overhead‑crane flat‑car project of Hangzhou‑Deqing Railway Line. This marks the first successful field application of the company’s electric‑drive solution for railway flat‑car cranes, achieving a landmark breakthrough from zero to one in the electrification upgrade of such products.

Led by the Equipment & Technology Department, cross‑functional teams from engineering, production and quality assured a standardized, rigorous and efficient acceptance process. In strict accordance with industrial standards and technical specifications, the inspection group carried out comprehensive on‑site verification and multi‑condition field tests covering appearance workmanship, car‑body structural design, braking performance and crane operating capacity. With full‑range operation data recorded on‑site, the product’s reliable performance and high manufacturing quality were fully demonstrated. After systematic evaluation, the customer highly recognized the vehicle’s workmanship, structural strength, running stability and crane efficiency, and formally approved project acceptance.

Breaking the conventional industry practice of equipping railway flatcars with hydraulic cranes, this Hang‑De Line project adopted an innovative all‑electric crane solution. Compared with traditional hydraulic cranes, the electric‑driven crane features higher energy efficiency, lower maintenance cost, superior control precision and smoother operation, which well meets the on‑site requirements as well as the industry’s intelligent and green‑oriented goals. During project execution, multi‑department collaboration overcame key technical challenges including crane‑carbody integration, vehicle‑load optimization and full‑scope safety protection system construction, delivering the finished vehicle with high quality standards.

The successful acceptance fills the company’s product gap in electric‑crane railway flatcars and expands its product portfolio of railway engineering equipment. It also accumulates solid technical and practical experience for the electrification and green upgrade of rail‑transit products, strengthening the company’s core competitiveness in this niche market.
